Eercises to help Kegels

Kegel Exercises or Kegel exercises (after Dr. Arnold Kegel who spent many years researching the pelvic floor) are highly recommended by medical practitioners the world over as an exercise to help strengthen the pelvic floor muscles.

Dr. Kegel found that through using resistance exercise it was possible to not only eliminate stress incontinence effectively and safely, but that it was possible to reverse a uterine prolapse by as much as 5 to 7cm. Some would say that using a kegelmaster nearly as important to a woman as regular pap smears.

Pelvic floor exercises or kegel exercises (named from Dr. Arnold Kegel who did much research on the pelvic floor) are recommended universally as the cure for the above ailments. Has this been successfull?  The answer: - probably not, because nobody ever tells you that Dr. Arnold Kegel intended the kegel exercise to be done with resistance, this is what the kegelmaster does, like no other product.

People increase muscle tone and strength by going to the gym. Some think that aerobic exercises help build mass and strength, WRONG. To get results we need weights and resistance. Aerobics only improves the look not the strength. This is why you have had little or no success with your pelvic floor; it’s the same as any other muscle in your body only more important.

What will it mean to you when you are able to perform a few exercises every day in the privacy of your own home and know with confidence that your health concerns will be a distant memory.

The benefits from using the kegelmaster are too numerous to mention but amongst them is the effective treatment for incontinence, greatly improves sensitivity during intimacy, strengthens pelvic floor muscles, helps the pelvic floor muscles recover more rapidly after childbirth and tones and tightens the vagina after childbirth.

Most women don’t do the pelvic floor exercises as recommended by their doctors or midwives, many don’t know where the kegel muscles are and the ones that do their exercises aren’t exercising them properly.

There is every chance of reversing a prolapse when it is in its early stage, with the help of a kegelmaster. Unfortunately some women wait until it is too late to take action and there is a point of no return after which surgery does become necessary.

Problimatic urination is more urgent at the time of menstruation, pains from periods are worse if the bowel is not emptied. The kegelmaster has proved to help in the treatment of these and many other problems.

Calorie Shifting - How it Helps

A calorie shifting diet gives you an advantage when it comes to Weight Loss. How does it do this? Read on…

Here is the deal. Often diets have you cut calories to the point that your metabolism slows down and this is not good. What does this mean – it means that if your metabolism slows your body’s fat burning ability slows. This is not what you want. This will only lead to a serious problem often called yo-yo dieting.

A diet that uses the principle of calorie shifting will prevent this slowing of your metabolism and instead enhance fat burning by speeding up your metabolism. This is accomplished by shifting the number of calories and the types of calories you consume at each meal. This keeps your body guessing and allows you to keep loosing weight over a longer period of time.

Calorie shifting may not be a long term eating style that you want to adopt but it offers a great way to lose weight quickly. So if you have some weight to lose and you want to get it gone in short order then you will benefit from a calorie shifting diet.

Calorie shifting will have you eating 4 meals a day so that even though you eat less at each meal you will still not feel hungry. Most people do not feel hungry on the diet but a few do. You may be challenged to get the right amount at each meal so you do not over due it but also do not under eat and go hungry.

You do not have to exercise while on this diet and because you will be eating less calories it may not be advisable unless you eat a few more to allow you to exercise along with this program. In general exercise is very beneficial for you body but if you are not getting enough calories to allow for it you may want to hold off until you lose the initial weight.

Now this might sound like an ultra low calorie diet but it is not. It is just being realistic that when you cut back your calories and change the food you are eating around your body and your mind will not be used to it. So why give yourself more to deal with.

Calorie Shifting Diets work and thousands of people have lost weight fast. Start Calorie Shifting Today!

What Exactly Is Arthritis and What Are The Signs and Symptoms?

There are pain syndromes like fibromyalgia and arthritis-related disorders, such as systemic lupus erythematosus, that involve every part of the body. There are relatively mild forms of tendinitis (as in ‘tennis elbow’) and bursitis to crippling systemic forms, such as rheumatoid arthritis. There are forms of the disease, such as gout, which almost nobody connects with arthritis, and there are other conditions - like osteoarthritis, the misnamed ‘wear and tear’ arthritis - that a good many people think is the only form of the disease.

How do you know if you have arthritis? While symptoms and severity vary from person to person, the most common symptoms are: pain, swelling, stiffness, tenderness, redness and warmth. The disease of osteoarthritis is distinguished through stiffness absent the chills, swelling or fever. Rheumatoid arthritis is the painful swelling, inflammation and stiffness in the fingers, arms, legs and wrists, which are prevalent on both sides of the body and are usually worse in the morning. Children with on-off fever, loss of their appetite, loss of body weight and a rash that is blotchy that are on the arms as well as legs may have juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. You should call the doctor if symptoms appear suddenly, or if they are accompanied by a fever or rash.

The most common types of arthritis are: osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia and systemic lupus erythematosus. Osteoporosis primarily affects the elderly because it is a degenerative disease resulting from a gradual loss of cartilage. Consequently, both joints and bones in the hips, knees, as well as the spine rub together, which results in both pain and muscle/nerve damage. Rheumatoid arthritis primarily affects those between 25 and 55 years of age and is characterized by a burning, stiff sensation in the hands, knuckles, arms, legs and feet. A pain disorder which is widespread that almost never totally goes away and is thought to be a nervous system that is malfunctioning. Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) sufferers have fevers, fatigue, myalgias, joint pains and malaise. Roughly 30% os the people who have SLE additionally show lesions of the skin and 10% also are afflicted with seizures of psychosis. While symptoms range from on-off pain to severe degenerative disease, this isn’t something that should just be “suffered through.”

Local community news is usually filled with “Walks For Arthritis,” encouraging citizens to educate themselves about this common pain condition and raise money for those who suffer. Sometimes the best way to beat the disease is to meet with others who have it and combine experiences and knowledge. In support groups, you can hear about treatments that work or don’t work. Since arthritis proves to be such a hot topic right now, much new research is emerging about possible treatment.
